Strange...

nothing to do with the UN backing one thing and not the other eh?

just oh poor us? typical.

More tidbits...

France says the seven were killed when demonstrators opened fire on the French and Ivory Coast security forces returned fire; demonstrators claim it was French troops who opened fire.

"The French are assassinating our children," one man cried Wednesday on state TV. "Let us all mobilize."

I guess being liberal has it's pros...but these French monsters must be stopped. We should hold a protest, and then a candle-light vigil.

What, you mean the 12 years of resolutions they didn't mind being ignored when we were involved?

Too bad, Leslie. You missed a perfect opportunity to lampoon the French, who are in over their heads in Africa, and instead choose to bash the US...:(

BTW...what about all those resolutions the Iraqi government broke...plus the fact that they had been firing upon aircraft patrolling the no-fly zone for at least a year before we decided to push the issue? You do realize that we could've done something to them then, on the same scale as we are now and nobody would've said crap, right? Retaliation is okay, which is what that would've been, but a war isn't...(even though they'd amount to the same thing)

They were taking oil money out of there as fast as they could. Iraq resolution breaking had help from at least two members of the UN Security Council. They were hardly ignored.
