Speaking from personal experience...

I once deleted a folder by mistake that I thought was one my old ones. It didn't have an access permissions set or anything. I really thought it was one I had made.

He was into files that weren't his on purpose. I can't condone something like that.

I once made a simple mistake and deleted a folder thinking it was one of my old ones. I never tried to explain it to anyone because they wouldn't have believed me anyway. I just told 'em to ... off instead. The guy accused me of a lot more than deleting a folder which was a lie, so I wasn't in the mood to apologize. I just told him where to go instead.
