Supervolcano

Too cute for words
Supervolcano

Tonight at 8 eastern on Discovery.

A highly dramatized and fictionalized version, you can bet, but it might be fun to watch.

Since the discovery of this, have you noticed that suddenly...

WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE!!!

Every channel & lots of science mags have jumped on the bandwagon. We might be able to, very unlikely but we might be able to redirect an asteroid away from us but we ain't gonna stop a volcano, no matter what we do.

It's the doom du jour, Gonz. :lol2:

We are all going to die, BTW. Probably one at a time and from varying causes though.

thanks chic.
it sounds cool.
my kinda show, it sounds like . :nerd:

I watched that movie "10.5" the other day.
Kinda cheesy, but entertaining. :)

I thought it was interesting, and also the follow-up.
Added another reason I'm glad I'm on the east coast. :D

Ahh, they glossed it over but a much smaller eruption is probably most likely. There have been several of those since the last big one. It could be as simple as a magma flow (if it erupts at all, understand) which wouldn't be a danger to anyone who wasn't directly in the way and couldn't actually walk. :D
