Expiration of Bush Tax Cuts: How Will It Affect You?

Benjamin Franklin wrote that "nothing is certain but death and taxes," but that is only half-true. There is absolutely nothing dead-certain about taxes this year.

Unless Congress acts soon, almost all of the "Bush tax cuts" and credits that were enacted in 2001 and 2003 will expire at the end of this year. Most financial analysts and Washington insiders say they don't expect that to happen. But if it does, you -- the American taxpayer -- are in for a tax hike. A big one.

So, I wonder what Obama's approval rating will drop down to,
if he gets a bill to extend um all, and he stamps a veto on it.

Massive Tax Increases during a Depression?

His approval rating will remain unchanged
as the fools that like him won’t change their
addled minds over this.

But you can bet yer arse that the economy
will take notice of this!

The economy already has noticed. A few trillion is being held (according to reports) in reserve, awaiting an extension or an increase. The Final Act of the 2010 Congress, pre-election, was pure cowardice & a guaranteed continuation of the economic slowdown.

It seems that those ringing up multi-trillion dollar debts, combined with inability to read the bill, are the spit & polished variety. (lots of Ivy League)
