The E word

Southern Discomfort
A mall in South Florida is making bunnies available for pictures this week and next but none of them will include the word ‘Easter’ in their names because, well, we all know why by now, according to the Palm Beach Post.

The Gardens mall in Palm Beach County has an “egg hunt” and mascots with names like Garden Bunny, Baxter the Bunny and Peter Rabbit. No mention of that upcoming Christian holiday, though.

"Because we're such a multicultural community, it's good just to remain neutral," mall General Manager Sam Hosen said.

Will it never stop? Will there be no end to the whining until the last vestige of anything even commercially tied to a Christian holiday is verboten? People must take Christianity more seriously than they let on if this offends them. Maybe they're afraid of something, and this is how they deal with that little fear that dwells deep down inside them. I dunno.

All I can say is, we ain't going away.

Easter egg hunts are of course not Biblical at all. That's why they let the egg hunts stay around. Just don't tag the word Easter in front of it, because it isn't the egg hunt that bothers people, it's the word Easter.

America, I weep for us. The days of wine and roses are very few now I fear. We're gonna pay a high price for our actions.

how can it be multicultural if they are discriminating?

I remember when I got Easter Vacation from school. This was back in the 80s. Now it's Spring Break.

Wow, am I ever glad that we don't have to put up with that bullshit here (yet).

It really bothers me when people look for things to complain about.

Here most people have one week off for "March Break" and Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday off for the Easter Break.
