The end game has begun

Privacy (and so much more) is about to expire. It was fun while it lasted.

At a global security conference held today in Paris, an American company announced a new syringe-injectable microchip implant for humans, designed to be used as a fraud-proof payment method for cash and credit-card transactions.

Privacy has been dead. Any privacy you have is an illusion. If the government (ours or any other) wants to find shit out about you they will. What makes you think they care WTF you're doing.

If you're a cash customer & work under the table, things like that, it is still possible to play the game, under cover. Once the switch to cashless is gone (and this is step one)...

I certainly don't have any proof Gonz, but I think you're kidding yourself. Got a social security number? Pay taxes? Maybe in the third world you could do it, but not here.

The SSA only tracks what one uses. Don't file W4s or 1040s & you're dead.

If you moved to, say, Montana, and lived in the moutains with a few guns, some ammo & some matches, you could effectively become a non-entity. Difficult but hardly impossible.

You are simply, and I apologize for repeating myself, not paranoid enough.

I think that is just a stupid idea that is going to die out. First of all it's a company that make the chip, so it would have to sell it to another credit card company. Then they would have to find 6 different companys to make the databases, the software, the connections between it all, the compatibilty. Then you got to the the government in on it all. Then we'll have lawsuits about things being injected into you. And because it's a private company that cant MAKE you get your ass (or where ever) inject with a microchip.

Sometimes I like the sound of a goverment were they could regulate such things so a private company does not have all your records but a centeralised government officece does. It would make things easier less convusing and you couldn't get screwed over cause it's the government, or at least you hope you wont.

About the privacy thing, how much privacy do you think you have right now anyway? Not only are our writen records accessable in 100 different government and private officers, but you probley got a statalite taking pictures of you when you in the bathroom.

from the Book of Revelation:

013:016 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:

013:017 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

013:018 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.

Agree or disagree with the bible, it is an interesting coincidence/prophecy.

The problem with prophecy is that the competent prophet makes prohecies so ambiguous that they might mean any of a hundred things or none of them.

I'll pose to you the same question I pose to my believing friends: prove it. Can't? Then don't discount it.

Surely I am misunderstanding your intent here. You're an atheist but you believe in prophecy? Umm... okay. :bolt:

Thats how the allure of prohecies survive. Hell is they started being exact everyone would know they are hardly dependable.
