The further degradation of American society.

Too cute for words
A nurse that works with Dara has an eighteen month old son in daycare. He bit a little girl Friday. Evidently more than once, which leads me to question what the alleged adults were doing. In any case, the police were called. Cuff him, Dan-O. The father of the little girl wanted to press charges. Once again, I have to question the alleged adulthood of some of the larger children involved.

Wait. I must be seeing things. Some idiot father wanted to legally charge an infant with a crime? Maybe toddler would be a better word but the shock & awe still stand.

A link would be nice, but it isn't really necessary.

1. PC...The adults probably saw what was going on, but discipline is touchy nowadays...especially with someone elses kids.

2. PC...Parents are responsible for their childrens' actions, however, in some states, discipline is touchy nowadays...your personal idea of discipline, no matter how minor, is somebody elses idea of child abuse.

3. PC...Witnesses are in charge of whether a person is responsible enough to be charged with a crime, or not. Is a four-year old responsible for his/her actions? Guess so, in this case...Are the witnesses responsible to report this? That is what's up for debate.

Let's add this all up...Hmmm...PC looks like the main factor in this case. Perhaps I should investigate this...

Sorry Gato. This just happened to someone we know. No news story, so no link. I suppose the police had to file a report, but other than that, nothing. I got the story from Dara, who got it from the mom of the biter, so I took a lot of it with a grain of salt. I will say this; knowing the mother involved you can rest assured there was punishment. I'm not sure myself how much an eighteen month old child will understand what the spanking was for, but he's a pretty good kid AFAIK, and he's pretty aware for a toddler. As you say, a PC to the point of idiocy matter.

Sorry Gato.

No need for an apology. I just wondered where it came from.

:grinyes:

AFAIK, spanking is still practiced in much of the world. I have no problem with that. Beating, and child abuse, however, are wrong. The line is there, but PC has forever blurred that line because it gave people outside of law enforcement the "right" to call a spanking abuse. Hell...in some states spanking is illegal.
