ARTISTS AGAINST WAR
For Immediate Release

VANCOUVER -- February 13, 2003 -- Artists Against War, who organized the sold out Friday January 17 WISE Hall anti-war party that featured local performing artists, audio, visual, and body painting artists, as well as a naked bicycle ride down Commercial Drive -- is at it again!

On Sunday, February 23, we will use our bodies to create a huge naked peace symbol on the flat grassy area near the north slope of Sunset Beach (just south of where Bute intersects Beach Avenue)! At the top of the north slope will be opportunities to take photos.

WHAT: Huge naked peace symbol, and possibly more
WHERE: Sunset Beach Park near Beach Ave at Bute
WHEN: 1:00 PM, Sunday, February 23
WHY: Because Bush is a War Monger

This event will be widely publicized, so we hope to have ample naked bodies! If there are enough bodies, we'll spell out a message as well -- after the peace symbol is made. In keeping with our theme of no wars for oil, we are asking participants to bring a bicycle if they have one to show our two wheeled solution to Oily Wars!

To promote the February 23 event, a week before on Sunday February 16, a mini-naked pre-event peace symbol will be made. Participants will meet 1 PM at Grandview Park (1200 Commercial) and then move to a near by undisclosed location for photo opportunities.

Get naked with us!

Should we transport them on the LandRover or the Durango?
