The pianist

I guess this thread was rather premature as this just started playing in theatres. Going to watch it tonight.
 
Didn't it win best Actor Oscar for Adrien Brody?seem to remember a big deal about him kissing Halle Barry rather agressively.
 
Well...i need to think about this one for awhile. I do however recommend this movie. It's not another Schindlers List Rather it's one mans account of his experience during the holocaust. Anyone who's bothered by violence however i'd advise you keep clear. This one has an exteme amount of violence involving children. Not sure why this is, probably just to make it even more disturbing. I would also be interested in hearing opinions from anyone who's studied the Holocaust and might have any disagreements with roman polanski's ideas for this film or understanding of the Holocaust.
