(CNN) -- Al Qaeda militants kept a pledge to kill their American hostage, posting three chilling photographs Friday on an Islamist Web site to prove they had beheaded Paul Johnson Jr.

The Lockheed Martin Corp. employee was kidnapped in Riyadh last Saturday. Sources in Riyadh said Johnson's body was found in the eastern part of the city; official statements are expected soon.

U.S. officials confirmed Johnson's death, saying the remains shown on the al Qaeda-linked Web site are "definitely" his. An official said a photograph that shows a severed head sitting on the back of a headless body is "very clear."

Abdel Aziz Al-Muqrin, the self-proclaimed military leader of al Qaeda in Saudi Arabia, had threatened Tuesday to kill Johnson in 72 hours unless the Saudi government released al Qaeda prisoners and Westerners left the Arabian Peninsula.

"As we promised, we the mujahedeen from the Falluja Squadron slaughtered the American hostage Paul Johnson after the deadline we gave to the Saudi tyrants," said a statement on the Web site that has been translated from the Arabic.

My heartfelt condolences go out to the family of Mr. Johnson.

The worst is yet to come.

The blames goes to the terrorist. Accompanied by lack of condemnation from the clerics and people of the religion of peace.

Lets forget the seditionist in this country; the audiences the terrorists are playing too.

A U.S. official confirmed that al-Moqrin has been killed. The official spoke on the condition of anonymity because of the sensitive nature of the information.

"Let him taste something of what Muslims have long tasted from Apache helicopter fire and missiles," the statement said.

Johnson, 49, worked on Apache attack helicopter systems for Lockheed Martin.

One of the three photographs posted Friday on the Web site showed a man's head, face toward the camera, being held by a hand. The two others showed a beheaded body lying prone on a bed, with the severed head placed in the small of his back, the clothes underneath bloodied. One showed a bloody knife resting on the face.

The beheaded body was dressed in a bright orange jumpsuit, similar to one Johnson is seen wearing in earlier videos released by the kidnappers.

"To the Americans and whoever is their ally in the infidel and criminal world and their allies in the war against Islam, this action is punishment to them and a lesson for them to know that whoever steps foot in our country, this decisive action will be his fate," the al-Qaida statement said.

One of the sad assed facts about the American civilians
working in Saudi Arabia is that they are not allowed to bear arms nor are they allowed ANY armed security whatsoever. Personally, I wouldn't mind going down but I'd want to go down fighting i.e. returning three round burst fire to the end. I sure as Hell would not want to be captured paraded around onna video and then end up butchered like a hog.

That's why I believe that they have no business being in hot zones.

Paul Johnson Jr.'s murder will be avenged, no doubt - along with every murder committed by al Qaeda terrorists, if President Bush's mission succeeds.

I am simply amazed. Utterly. Without fail. Mostly in myself for even having these feeling yet the response is deafening & resounds a clear and indistinguishable "WHO CARES!" in its silence.

In less than 30 hours from release, the ABU GHRAIB photo's had the media abuzz (bzz bzzz bbzzzzzzz) in how could we hand wringing & apologetic retching was everywhere. In some leftists circles it is still talked about like it matters one whit to this or any other war.

Even a cut & paste with attached barb from our most popular & witty political commentator had grown to over two pages. Yet, in the same amount of time, this has only drawn the witticisms and/or condolences of what is referred to as the jack booted thugs of OTC.

Can I have at least one how could THEY for christsakes? Just one to show you people have a clue.

With the things that can be done with a comp these days,
I'm not even sure that he's dead yet. :confused:
The whole situation seems pretty strange.
Of coarse we do know for sure that this "is/was" a deadly move
for 'them', so if he wasn't really killed then, I'm sure he will be now.

I just get the feeling on this that something 'really' unprecedented is
being planned now.

(BTW Gonz you know I've expressed my outrage originally elsewhere anyway)
 
Ususally I hit "go to first unread post". Ocassionally I miss that & have to scroll. That's what happened today. As I scrolled through the names I noticed not one individual that is part of the OTC left had posted.

Then a few minutes later I saw a reference to Abu on a news site & it struck me as queer that nobody from "over there", you know the compassionate side, had started hemming & hawing about how bad the bad guys are & whatever would the world think about it. The more along those line I got the more pissed I got. :shrug:
