Several Americans held hostage in Iran more than 25 years ago say they remember Iran's President-elect Mahmoud Ahmadinejad as playing a key role in the seizure.

Interesting if correct, but I don't know that it really changes the way we treat him.

That would take him from political leader to terrorist.

True, but he's not the only one. I think we still treat him as a head of a hostile state. I wonder if we can prove it internationally. Again, I don't see it changing the way we treat him.

If more of the hostages agree, it may become something worthwhile. Right now there aren't enough for a quorum.
