Washington - Redheads may actually have another trait that makes them stand out - sensitivity to pain, specialists reported on Tuesday.

People with natural red hair need about 20 percent more anaesthesia than people with other hair colours, they told a meeting of anaesthesiologists. The unexpected finding not only suggests that redheads are more sensitive to pain, but offers insights into how anaesthesia works in people.

I don't know. My wife is a natural redhead & tolerates far more than most I know. After all, she did marry me :headbang:

wow, that's funny. I know sweet air never works on me at the dentist's but the one time I got knocked out, it worked like a charm. :D

I must send that to my family. Thanks Ku'u!! :D

I told my family last night. My sister told me she had that problem during a few surgeries she needed-that the anesthesia wore off too quick.
