I remember working in thunderstorms so fierce that you got drenched within 30 seconds of leaving the building, and lightning hitting the flightline within 50 yards of where I was working. BTW...my bonehead play of the night was leaving my car windows cracked, and the moonroof pitched forward. This wouldn't normally be a problem in a mild rain, but this was almost a deluge. Good thing I've got around six more hours of work...the seats might be dry by then.
