Consumer prices dropped 1% in October as gasoline prices tumbled, the Labor Department said on Wednesday, marking a possible bright spot for consumers battered by economic turmoil.

They've done broke people now.
They sould have dropped the prices several moths ago more.

I've got my eye on some things I need, but like the market, I'm waiting
to see the prices get Really right.

I suspect it will get rather worse before it gets better. Six months to a year before it even starts to recover. OTOH, there'll probably never be a better time to buy a new American car. Warranty issues may become a problem, however.

the newest vehicle I own is that '86 truck w/'93 motor. :D

Long as I can get parts from somewhere...;)

The only new one I'd consider is NGC motor style truck or similar.

The sad part about this being the best time ot buy a new American car is that I can't afford to do so. I'd love to have a Dodge Charger with a hemi. :D
