WASHINGTON (AP) — A senior al-Qaeda leader was captured overseas and is in American custody, U.S. officials say. The officials, speaking Friday on condition of anonymity, would not provide an identity, but they did rule out several possibilities: Osama bin Laden; his chief deputy, Ayman al-Zawahri; suspected Sept. 11 mastermind Khalid Shaikh Mohammed and bin Laden's son, Saad.

It makes you wonder how many of these "top" guys are out there yet.

There are only two top guys, Mulah Omar and Osama Bin Laden.
No, Mullah Omar Muhammed was the leader of the Taliban. "Top" people are leaders of the organization, and there are far more than just two of them. The second in command, the deputies, and others come to mind. They can all replace bin Laden up to a point. If you kill all of the "top" people, the leaders of the organization, you can cripple them a bit. Mullah Omar Muhammed was just a pawn imho... I think bin Laden pulled his strings.

I know there are several top guys, i wasn't being literal in my previous post.

I would love to see bin Laden captured. That's a big understatement.
