Not quite but as close as one can come.

Chrissy Hynde of the Pretenders is on my never ever solicit list.

At a concert recently, she is reported to have said "I hope we get our ass kicked" & "I wish the Muslims would win". Does she have the slightest idea what she is wishing for? I'm still lokking for written confirmation of this but in the meantime, buh-bye great Prestender.

Between songs, the pugnacious Hynde, in a classic black T-shirt and jeans, bantered and battled with the crowd. She dedicated "You Know Who Your Friends Are" to "all you junkies and f--," gave a shout-out to the late Joe Strummer, opined that she hopes the United States loses if it goes to war with Iraq ("Bring it on! Give us what we deserve!"), and introduced the song "Fools Must Die" with the self-deprecating quip, "I'll show you how it's done."

I think that might be yet another made up "fact" put out by a hungry media...

I tell you...the things that are getting repeated these days just amaze me...

one person does it on the radio or tv and all of a sudden it's "truth".

...I gotta hope this all turns out to be a misquote or something....

Well...she's a melted, miscreant, has been anyway....

I honestly wouldn't have expected any such thing even from her, but I guess if anyone is going to say such a thing,
why not her?

I suggest someone call 911 for her as she's in dire danger of suffocation at this point. Who'd have though a human could live as long as she has with her head shoved that far up her ass?

Agreed. It would be nice if actors and musicians whould stick to what they do best, and not use their celebrity status to demonstrate to the world their complete and utter ignorance of world affairs.
 
She is free to say it & I'm free to think & say she's an idiotic heroin junkie with no forethought to her speech nor the brains to understand what she said & what would happen if her wishes came true.

It doesn't sound exactly as if she hopes that the Muslims win. Personally I think this whole war thing is a pile of crap, for whatever reasons justify it. It'd be nice if our species would prove that it's capable of doing something other than killing its members to solve its problems (same goes for the people attacking us).
