THIS BULLETIN IS FOR ALL AREAS OF THE PACIFIC BASIN EXCEPT
ALASKA - BRITISH COLUMBIA - WASHINGTON - OREGON - CALIFORNIA.

... A TSUNAMI WARNING AND WATCH ARE IN EFFECT ...
PLEASE NOTE THIS IS AN UPGRADE OF THE WARNING DUE TO THE
INCREASE IN EARTHQUAKE MAGNITUDE TO 8.1.

A TSUNAMI WARNING IS IN EFFECT FOR

RUSSIA / JAPAN / MARCUS IS. / WAKE IS. / MIDWAY IS.

A TSUNAMI WATCH IS IN EFFECT FOR

N. MARIANAS / GUAM / MARSHALL IS. / TAIWAN / CHUUK / POHNPEI /
YAP / PHILIPPINES / KOSRAE / BELAU / JOHNSTON IS. / HAWAII /
INDONESIA / KIRIBATI / NAURU / PAPUA NEW GUINEA

FOR ALL OTHER PACIFIC AREAS, THIS MESSAGE IS AN ADVISORY ONLY.

Not sure if this affects any other OTCers (BOP ?) ,but hope all are well.
 
yeah i'd call my partner of gender to remain unspecified for imaginary OTC intrigue and warn her, er, it, but we live on a big hill and seattle is buffered by the olympic peninsula... i think we'd be fine if it was a 200 foot tsunami.
 
there were a few small surges this morning at about 9am here ... big enough for us to decide to close our preschool which is across the street from the shore. everyone is safe and happy :D
 
glad to hear it,the wave never got me but the convergence of two weather fronts hawaii/alaska means I've been without power since shortly after I posted this thread.:crap:
I'm using the library computer system again ,whilst the wife is at work.Hopefully the power will be back on when I get home at about 9pm. :crosses fingers: More nasty weather moving through tonight,so I may lose power again,if in fact its working yet.




*does it mean I'm addicted if I can't go without Internet for 12hrs :retard3:
