As one of the main advocators of "the left is out to get us all" argument, allow me to point out the fact that one of the top most wanted terrorists was able to set up shop & was looking for a few good libs to work for him in a state that is famous for it's left-wing pandering. Had the story mentioned doing the same in Virginia or Kentucky or Iowa or even Colorado I'd have been very surprised. But, alas, it was in Oregon. In the middle of a war. Against terrorism.
Isn't it just another indicator of the disease spreading through the ranks of an otherwise idyllic political ideology? An creed that once stood for full equality and peace now stands for "shooting the President" & treason. Granted, it's not all, or at the moment even most, liberals but 10 or 20 years ago it would have been unthinkable to say, much less help, some of the causes now being actively pursued by the liberal wing of several political parties-including our own Democrats.
Yes, this is not solely an American phenomena in politics. Just ask the Spaniards. We're moving backwards due to the influences of the left in everyday life. Children are alone & being left to fend for themselves. Women & men are bed partners instead of a unifying team. Disorder has replaced order-see your local public school. When discipline is needed, the left sticks its nose in the way to stop it. The uncommon has a larger voice than the average. When the common gets roused, the left begins name calling, in hopes of shaming. When called to the carpet, few are as vicious & engineering as the left. They don't want to prove a point incorrect, they wish to destroy the presenter. They've even changed the meaning of words...down to so what was once an obvious flippant remark can now be called hate-speech or something like "wrong" is now tied more to immoral than incorrect.
Today, in the middle of a fight...some say a fight for the very survival of the West, a fight to be allowed to live as we've fought to live for centuries-Free & unencumbered by tyranny, within a balance between the silent majority & the vocal minority, freedom to travel when & where we please, to eat and drink and to think as we find right...after all this, along comes an enemy that wishes to remove everything for which we have fought & too many have died. They want to limit our freedom of expression. They want our population in bondage. They want thought limited, disallallowing over half our population the freedom of knowledge, disallowing half our poplulation the freedom to even go to the grocery in peace. They are a more dangerous enemy than we have ever faced. For with their victory comes not an armed enemy at the gate but an enemy that penetrates the very psyche of the population. Making itself the leader without ballots or bombs.
Today, this particlar enemy is called radical Islam. Upheld by a few zealots that wish it to wedge it into our every day. A few zealots that will look to their blind worship & kill or maim to change our world to their world. A few zealots that will stop at nothing to get to their end game.
All the things a liberal professes to believe in, the things she claims as right, the things he says are needed, all disappear under the tyranny of radical Islam.. Yet, in order to fight what is perceived as the enemy, namely the right, they side with the common enemy. They allow him into his home. They assist in the work of dismantling the sytem from the inside. They help weaken the fondations that have taken millenia to build. The bridges to our allies, painstakingly put into place over years & decades are taken down without guilt because of ideology overriding evidence.
When the whole supresses the one, a remedy may be needed. When the one becomes more important than the whole, collapse is imminent. When the enemy is seen as the ally-all may already be lost.
