Has your boss even given you something to do that you know is a COMPLETE waste of time?
I am currently checking some 5000 part numbers to see if they have subinventories (no subinventories = the computer doesn't know where to record production and sales for that item). Supposidly about 4000 of these 5000 part numbers don't have subinventories. Late today a guy from the states is going to send a list of the EXACT part numbers without subinventories but for now I have to go thorugh all 5000! I don't understand why we can't wait for the list! The first 1000 are probably the ones that re fine but I HAVE TO start form the beginning of the list!
When you think of "one fifth of the list" being OK it doesn't seem like sucha wast eof time ot check the whole list but when 1/5 = 1000 numbers it IS a waste of time! I could be doing stuff for my other boss which woudl be useful and productive but instead I have to wste my time going through 1000 numbers that there is nothing wrong with!
