two second half goals allow germany to top the group and they will get south africa or paraguay in the first of the knockout stages.



republic of ireland 3-0 saudi arabia

ireland book their place in the last 16 with an easy win over the group whipping-boys. they will probably face a tough game against spain in the next round.

Hmm well when you're playing with 12 men, one of whom has a flag in his hand, it makes it a lot easier.. :rolleyes:
