Yeah, that's the thing about this tournament. With so many of the groups' stronger teams finishing second, it's actually worse to finish first as it means you'll get a stronger team in the next round - Mexico will likely have to play Portugal, whereas the US, who will most likely finish first, have to contend with Italy.

Maybe that was the Italians' plan all along.. :rolleyes:
 
You know, the last 10 minutes of the game were "rubbish" ;)
Italy started to contain the ball, and then Mexico started to do the same, nobody tried to make a good move, and nobody was even trying to get the ball.

There should be a punishment for such anti-sport behavior.

You're right. And there should be much harsher punishment for linesmen who rule out valid goals. Tally's at three undeniably valid goals now stolen from Italy. 2-0 down would have been the end of Croatia; 1-0 to Italy after 15 minutes and we might not have seem the same spirit form the Mexicans.
