What do Iraqis really think of their American "liberators"?

Only one problem...Instead of the broad terms "over xx% of Iraqis", shouldn't it be stated "over xx% of Iraqis polled"? It may seem minor, but...if they only polled Iraqis in Abu Ghraid (not likely, but you get the point), it puts that survey...and it's results...in a whole new light. ;)

I will swear until my dying day that the "free press" is an unwitting accomplice of the enemy to any free state. It is also a necessary evil.

And that band of commie anarchists that is NPR even:
The Angel of the Desert

Thats positive news about an american soldier running an Iraqi prison by a liberal media source??!! I cant get enough of this story. Iraqi soldiers WANTED to go to her jail. She posed in a picture with 12 beaming arrested iraqi generals that she keeps on her wall at home. She still keeps in touch with several of these men by email and phone TO THIS DAY because they found her to be such a profoundly good hearted person. These were her PRISONERS. She adopted a local orphanage and showered them with food and goods and now many of them have said when they grow up they want to be an american just like major Garrity. She got donations of soccer balls and games for the prisoners from the community so the prisoners could have a way to release energy. This is the stuff of movie making.

And this shows us two things: Abu Ghraib was NOT the norm (even if it winds up being a sign of a weak if not outright corrupted chain of command failure). AND JUST AS IMPORTANTLY the Iraqi people are NOT all low life scum bags and beheaders. They are very much good and noble people and recognize a good heart irrelevant of nationality. Lets soak this up for 10 seconds if you will.....

ok now you can get back to the pigeon holing and stereotyping and mud slinging. I can tell yer all getting uncomfortable. ;)

Yep
maybe it will be better reflected on election day.
I think they should add a poll on the ballet.

Good point. This is the problem I have with all polls.

I wouldn't mind knowing what the "average Iraqi on the street" thinks but we might never know. I suspect that like most of us, they're more worried about how it will affect their day to day existence than who is actually in power.
