on the way to work yesterday and today, dodging garbage cans, downed branches, getting around stoplights that aren't working...

Nov. 14 — Windstorms gusting above 70 miles an hour swept across the East on Thursday after spawning damaging tornadoes in the Midwest, knocking out power to more than 1.4 million customers, flinging vehicles around like rag dolls, and killing at least two people overnight. Utility companies worked to restore power to thousands of customers Friday, but struggled as strong gusts continued to knock out service.

We lost our garbage can at some point yesterday but found it later down the block. No damage to us really but we have no trees on our property either. How are all the other NE/Canadians doing?

LA had 5" of rain in 2 hours, accompanied by lightning & hail (virtually unseen there), power outages from IA-WV due to winds.

Ma Nature had PMS recently.

Just another day in the neighborhood here....ours were only ~20-30mph though, which is just above normal. No one really noticed.

Talked to family in IA....rigs were turned over because of their wind.

kids were home from school in the early afternoon...tree down here in the neighbourhood...6 inches of snow and still falling :(

at least the nasty wind is for the most part gone.

windy...very windy...still very windy
no damage other than a few things blown over outside and some limbs down.
