Woman pronounced dead after amateur fight

They've had lots of people seriously and permanently mauled by the Toughman Competition here. I think at least one person has died from it too. As I remember, it was banned, then unbanned, then banned, then unbanned.....the cycle continues to this day.

I could understand it if they wore protective gear like they do on television with the Tanya Harding thing, but for someone to go bare knuckles and duke it out for the chance to win a few bucks, it doesn't make any sense. In this case, there was no money at stake which makes it even more stupid. I don't know why people does stuff like this? I just can't understand it. I know someone will say it's about ego, but it's really about stupidity.

I concur. However, look at all teh barfights people get into, for free :shrug:
