Mr Gates confirmed that the new version of Windows, codenamed Longhorn, would use a 64-bit processor, compared with the current 32-bit standard.

If the note was corrected, I too doubt Bill Gates would make such a terrible mistake.

No, I didn't asume anything. I clearly stated that either the times corrected the article or the site was a scam. If you click on that link, you'll be directed to the electronic version of the article and you'll be able to see that it doesn't say 64-bit per second.

But since you already posted a scan of the paper, the obvious answer is that the times corrected the webpage.

And I still doubt that Bill Gates said "64-bit per second", it must have been the writer's mistake.
