An AR-15 replacement

Aw c’mon if there ever was a collapse of western civilization
and a return to an agrarian type of sustenance level existence,
it would require the shedding of hundreds of millions of people.

What more fun way to go to your grave could there be
than to take as many as possible with you?

Murdering, raping & pillaging
sure would beat dying of thirst!

Well, it all depends on exactly why the world ends. If it's a superflu or a zombie invasion or something that leaves few human survivors, then living off of game is sustainable.

If there's still hundreds of millions of people living in the US, then the world hasn't ended.

That's why they use the term teotwawki.

"collapse of western civilization"
civil disorder
cats and dogs living together

without modern society the north American
continent wouldn't support hundreds of millions
more on the order of tens

Just gimme a boat...a nice sailboat.

The NRA FFA wet-dream of the collapse, where the ones with the most guns wins, is just that..a dream. Whether it's viral, zombies or the shut-down of the power-grid causing planet-wide collapse (A nice fat sun storm), the whole point will be to form groups of people to increase your odds of surviving..not killing anything that comes onto YOUR land and doeosn't look familiar.

It won't be a real-world version of a FPS game...more like gang-turf wars, or 'neighbourhood watch on steroids.'

The guy in front might have a hard time reading that.

If someone points a weapon at you and doesn't pull the trigger, that usually means that they either can't or won't. Either way, it makes them the target of someone who will pull the trigger.
