Are the times wrong?

Or am I stupid? When I choose -6 GMT(which I thought was Central time zone) it shows an hour behind what it's supposed to be. I chose -5 GMT and it shows the correct time. Isn't Central standard time -6 GMT?

its been covered. GMT itself has a different scale of daylight savings. It throws the whole system into chaos twice a year. All you can do it just adjust one time zone over manually to compensate.
