What's the best way to buy, and d/l singles.
I don't have an ipod. mp3 format preferred.

I use Musicmatch, but it's not mp3 on the download. It's wma, I believe. It rips as mp3's, though.

Music match is a little slow, but at the same time it seems to be the one that's most likely to be compatible with everything... Got some MP3's from other places and they wont always go over to my RCA player.

WMA is a format that is incredibly crappy, I would never consider buying music in that format, let alone transcode it to mp3 (and lose even more).

Former part-time audiophile says buy a record (not a tape or a disc, an LP damnit).

full time realist says (edited since it's illegal) :D

I used to dl using DC++, then I felt bad about it and stopped.

Ok, I didn't really feel bad. I just gave up my DSL for a free wireless connection that I can only use for Internet and messenger. I am currently suffering from withdrawl. I feel musically isolated.

I guess I'm in between then.

I'm not going all the way to town to get a single, and I'm way to paranoid
to use any kind of pnp anymore for years now.

well musicmatch is charging me 9.90 on top of the 1.00. :alienhuh:
I musta missed a checkbox somewhere.
That's a damn expensive song there. :confuse3:

nope, I thought it said there wouldn't be any extra charges.
I unchecked the box to subscribe to...whatever it was, a membership thing of some sort.
It was 19.95. I don't know wtf this 9.90 is.
I guess I'll wait and see if it clears all the way.

19.99 upgrades you to Plus, and it'll keep begging you to do that, but fuck 'em. The free version works fine. I've never gotten hit like you're describing.

yeah, I figure I don't mind getting bugged about it, for 20 bucks.
I won't be using it that much.
If I did inadvertently buy something else I'd like to know it before they
go charging me though.
The email just was the std welcome thing.
