(Apr. 3, 2010) — While giving a speech on AIDS and health care to a delegation of Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender (GLBT) Democrats, Michelle Obama described Kenya as Obama’s “home country.”
The story about his being born in Hawaii
seems less and less likely with each passing day.
So, this week the video surfaces of Michelle Obama giving her speech in which she casually names Kenya as Obama’s “home country“. This has served to ramp up the debate, and I’m wondering why this video is popping up just now, when that speech was given back in 2008.
There is nothing crazy about insisting that our precious Constitution be upheld. Don’t back down or be afraid to speak your mind on this paramount subject, my friends!
Mr. Obama, where’s the birth certificate?
"It is now clear that George Bush's misnamed 'War on Terror' has backfired — and is now part of the problem," Edwards told the Council of Foreign Relations in New York. "The War on Terror is a slogan designed only for politics, not a strategy to make America safe. It's a bumper sticker, not a plan."
"Every member of Congress should stand their ground on this issue and do everything in their power to block this bill," Edwards said. "Congress should send President Bush another bill funding the troops, supporting the troops, with a timetable for withdrawal. If the president vetoes that bill, send him another one."
Like the layers of an onion, one must peel back the layers of hyperbole, political agendas, accusations of racism, and other types of detractions and distractions to arrive at the very core of the argument, which is simply this: Is Barack Hussein OBAMA in fact legally eligible, under the United States Constitution, to serve as President of the United States?
There are many who claim that the issue of Obama’s eligibility is unimportant and irrelevant, or an unnecessary distraction to the “real” crises facing America, including but not limited to OBAMA’s policies and actions as President.
