Why is it that the fastest is never fast enough?

Waiting for a file to DL. I have CABLE, but its still not fast enough. 1600 Kbps DL / 3-400 up, and I still want more.

3000/128 here... man, I wish most of the places I downloaded from filled up my massive bandwidth, but I usually have to download multiple files to get the most out of my bandwidth.

Plus, when I'm filling up my upload bandwidth, all my downloads get crippled.
