Children of Dune

Sci Fi channel in about 17 minutes where I live. I'm a big fan of all things Dune. I love the effort that they put into making a top notch product. Anyone else out there watch this kind of stuff?

Read all the books and saw the dune movie, might pick up that one later.

I have both Dune movies on VHS. I love good sci fi. And Dune was great...

I just finished watching all three episodes of the first Dune miniseries, and am about to start watching Children of Dune (taped by my Tivo). I think my head's going to explode..

One thing I noticed is that in Dune, the scenes where they show the Harkonnens plotting take an important visual cue from the original Batman TV series: Always show the bad guys in odd camera angles and sinister red light, as it makes them look more evil.

Here's to hoping Children of Dune improves a bit on this..

I have all the books but I read them some time ago so I'm pretty rusty on the plot. I enjoyed the first series they did (I have it on tape) and I'm hoping we'll get this new series over here in the not too distant future.

Part 1 wasn't bad.. Didn't have to suspend quite as much disbelief as in the first Dune miniseries. Looking forward to Part 2 tonight.
