completely removing KAZAA.

about three times in the past, i've tried to remove Kazaa from my comp, in favor of KazaaLite.

but every time i try to do it, there's always still something still on my comp, that makes kazaa still run, even after i installed Lite.

i would like to make regular kazaa completely go away. how do i do that?

Run separately from Lite? Lite is Kazaa, so it'll appear to be the same as the full version of Kazaa (at least the version I use does). Try uninstalling Kazaa and then run something like AdAware to remove everything. That might work.

just unistall it (Control Panel -- Add or Remove Programs) and run Ad-Aware 6 to get rid the spyware.

Kazaa has an ad component called StarDock. If you remove Kazaa, then remove the Stardock component too using Lavasoft Adaware, you should kill it for good.

Be sure to use the update feature of Ad-Aware to get the latest components. The little globe icon inside the program is for webupdate.

Spybot Search and Destroy is a good program for removing spyware, too.

Actually, Spybot's better. It has picked up stuff immediately after an adaware scan several times on my machines. Never happens the other way around.
