Sad and creepy, this,
The Smart family’s nightmare began early Wednesday. A stranger entered the girl’s home through a window, then the bedroom she shared with her nine-year-old sister. Terrified by the gunman’s threats, the sister waited for two hours before telling her parents of the abduction.

I hate kidnapping, do you know if he wants a payment in order to give her back??

If the guy was just a maniac, chances are that she's probably dead by now, or making child pornography.

They can always break the window and got in.......

Someday you're going to start putting some steel to avoid somebody from get in even if they break the window...you don't need an alarm if you have your house like that, there are some nice works that makes the window look nice instead of making them look like a prision.

Very true. If somebody wants something that badly, then they're going to do it. And you won't be able to stop them. But, I'll do just about anything to do so.

But if the guy had to break the window to get in, there's more of a chance the noise would wake you up and you'd go see what broke. The only thing I'd be concerned about is if the kid could get out in case of a fire.
