When you restart your computer, after it shuts off, the first screen that shows up is usually the BIOS. There should be some text there, telling you what the name of the BIOS is (Award, etc.). There also may be a line telling you how to get into it (like 'press DEL to enter BIOS'). First off, we need the BIOS info to tell you how to get an update. If you can actually get into the BIOS by pressing a key, do that and write down the BIOS version information that should be there. Just make sure you don't change anything, that would be bad.
If you can't figure out how to get into the BIOS, write down the information on that first screen...
Is this a name brand computer? A Dell, Gateway, that kind of thing? I know Dell BIOS require you to press the F2 key...
