Homeland Security Warns of Rise in Right-Wing Extremism
"This is the job of DHS, to assess what is happening in this country, with regard to homegrown terrorism, and determine whether it's an actual threat or not, and that's what these assessments do. This is nothing unusual. These assessments are done all the time. This is about awareness," the official told FOX News on Monday.

ok Now where's the anti-profiling crowd?

Anti-profiling crowd member - Present and accounted for, sir!

Profiling is supposed to raise red-flags..and not be the be-all and end-all method of police/military/security intelligence. Once the flags are raised...take a closer look to see if they're false-flags or something that should be ...er...considered.

If they're now looking at extreme right-wingers as well as extreme left-wingers equally..I see no problem with it.

Ironic isn’t it -- being painted as an enemy of America by the the very people who support, represent and coddle the enemies of America......

Uhmm, maybe it's because the way some right wingers act, they are dangerous.

If one person calls you an ass, ignore them, if 2 people call you an ass, well, they have issues, but when a lot of people call you an ass, maybe, just maybe you are an ass.

You Might Be a "Radicalized Right-Wing Extremist" If....

"The report includes a sweeping definition of the threat: Right-wing extremism in the United States can be broadly divided into those groups, movements and adherents that are primarily hate-oriented (based on hatred of particular religious, racial or ethnic groups), and those that are mainly antigovernment, rejecting federal authority in favor of state or local authority, or rejecting government authority entirely. It may include groups and individuals that are dedicated to a single issue, such as opposition to abortion or immigration.

"Right-wing extremist chatter on the Internet continues to focus on the economy, the perceived loss of U.S. jobs in the manufacturing and construction sectors, and home foreclosures," the assessment warns.

"Debates over appropriate immigration levels and enforcement policy generally fall within the realm of protected political speech under the First Amendment, but in some cases, anti-immigration or strident pro-enforcement fervor has been directed against specific groups and has the potential to turn violent."

Apparently, terrorists are anyone who voice opposition to the Democrat party policies. Is it extremist to oppose abortion, support gun rights, and demand immigration reform? To support the idea of a limited government of constitutionally enumerated powers?

It's the threatening to raise arms against a democratically elected government that has people worried.

Depends on how you go about..showing your displeasure.

Oppose abortion? - by bombing clinics and killing doctors
Support gun ownership? - by stockpiling them and shooting at anyone that comments on it
Support limited GVTS? - by killing off as many politicians as possible
Think fur is murder? - by killing owners and 'rescuing' the animals into the wild

It's all perspective, eh

god forbid we profile people for voluntary participation in a hate group...

after we've already profiled people based on ethnic identities and religions they were born into.

Nope, it's just the hate based extremist ultra right wing anti-Americans that could be considered terrorists. We got a few here that get pretty close.

The interpretation of this document encompasses far more people than the likes of those involved in violent acts you mention.

It marginalizes those supporting a limited government powers with recognized hate groups and domestic terrorists.

William Ayers = mainstream
Rev. Wright = mainstream

the diff is,
when some profile, they use all the indicators, or percentage.

There's a big difference between shooting your mouth off at someone, and shooting your 9mm off at someone.

Who said that?

Oh, you're just making shit up as usual.

But hey, I remember fondly when you would characterize those who disagreed with G.W.B and the radical right as a threat, anti-American, and traitors.

I imagine that's why you're making up this other shit. Cause you did the same thing yourself. :rofl3:

Ayers used to be pretty radical - and would've been in the HS listing. Now?
Wright is outspoken, but radical to the point of being dangerous? A bit of a stretch, dontcha think?
ACORN - not radical - they're pushing for inclusion more that exclusion.

Radical left groups - M19CO, Black Liberation Front, United Freedom Front, NAFL, J18
