i do like the idea of conserving certain wood species in new production. but having to prove how old your guitars is to the customs folks... that's crazy.

This is like the Geronimo headdress/warbonnet debacle. It is obviously not populated with eagle feathers from the modern age yet the government seized it anyway. Now, two tribes are fighting over it for its "historical" value. Did I mention it is worth $1.2 million?

The feds fucked this guy out of a priceless heirloom under color of authority and the guy bent over and took it because he didn't have the money to fight the government.
