Does anyone have one? Know what all the different kinds are for and what the advantages and/or disadvantages are of them like noise, residue on furniture or the carpet, price, higher electric bills?

We used to have one at one of my old houses. They make some noise but you get used it to after a while...just like anything I guess...I was to little to know if they leave residue or not though...I just cared about opening the lid and putting my hands inside cause it was fun (cause it was forbidden
