A&W root beer floats are the greatest...i made a fool out of myself in the middle of a busy street in halifax......we'd been underway a while, been to places with nothing familiar besides the obligatory mcdonalds...all of a sudden i spotted it and before my brain could tell me this was an inside thought i screamed "WOOHOO...they got an A&W!"...i had 2 floats that day

My first job was working as a waitress in an A&W restaurant. I thought the curly fries were pretty good. Then again, that was 15 years ago.

I miss the A&W in Paso Robles. It had car hop service and good root beer. No, it didn't get destroyed in yesterday's earthquake; someone bought it and turned it into a non-A&W drive-in.
