It's Palin ...

Problem solved minkey.

if by "problem" you mean final disposition of the bridge, then yes, it was solved.

if you interpret the problem as politically convenient flip flopping, then the problem certainly is not resolved.

genius peel: the heritage foundation article was simply to show that in 2005, when palin was supporting the bridge, that the heritage foundation found it an obscene example of earmarks. your comment is irrelevant. unfortunately, your vote is not.

of course, no matter what any facts say, she is still superwoman and barack will still be referred to as "hussein," so what the fuck, some of you are just beyond help.

finito.

She didn't build the bridge but she kept the money (well, not after the hue and cry). Convenient, huh?

Good find. He nailed her and she had to avoid a direct question twice.

She also raises another point. While she never gave back the money for the bridge she's taking more federal money for a different link.

Way to fail palin.

Once again, just making up your own reality.

Gibson states dubious “facts” instead of questions...and then restates the “facts” after Palin disputes them, just to try to keep the “facts” alive.

I thought you were following this or something.

What I supported was the link between a community and its airport. And we have found that link now...... Transportation fund dollars still came into Alaska.

Of course she kept the money--- she never claimed she did not, why would the governor to send the money back to Washington if it was needed elsewhere in her state?

I was for infrastructure being built in the state. And it's not inappropriate for a mayor or for a governor to request and to work with their Congress and their congressmen, their congresswomen, to plug into the federal budget along with every other state a share of the federal budget for infrastructure.

The fact is that she supported the bridge until the plug was pulled by Congress. She continues to claim that she told them "thanks but no thanks.

When asked straight up whether she supported the bridge she doesn't reply yes or no but instead avoids the question. Then she avoids it again. She actually doesn't dispute any facts, just avoids.

To try and spin this into anything except clearly avoiding a direct question would be avoiding reality.

Oh I am. Not only did she keep the money for a bridge that wasn't getting built but she actually got another earmark on top of that for a different link.

Money was for a bridge. No bridge, no money. Simple huh?

Has the FACT been addressed that Obama and Biden both voted FOR funding the oft-referred to "Bridge to Nowhere"? http://www.cdobs.com/archive/our-columns/obama-and-biden-voted-for-bridge-to-nowhere,1628/

Even when Sen. Coburn proposed an amendment shifting earmark funds to Katrina relief they STILL voted for it.

In other words, OBAMA and BIDEN accused Bush of not funding Katrina victims, but INSTEAD voted to send the money to Alaska to build a bridge that became a symbol of pork barrel spending.

Roll call Votes on the resolution containing the Bridge to nowhere funds:

Roll call Votes on the proposed amendment to take the Bridge money and use it for the victims of Katrina:

McCain is on record as opposing the bridge, and the person who had the real say about it KILLED it.

The money was put into Alaska General Transportation Fund, and in 2006 upon election, Governor Palin determined that the bridge was not a priority to build. In September of 2007, the state funds for the bridge were re-directed away from the project.

Do you have any factual information supporting that assertion? The transcript from the interview doesn't explain what '"link" refers to and mentions no "other earmark".

Perhaps she means the state funds that were redirected now support other infrastructure?

Money was for a bridge. No bridge, no money. Simple huh?

For you, maybe. That's not the way it works in the real world, though.

Has the FACT been addressed that Obama and Biden both voted FOR funding the oft-referred to "Bridge to Nowhere"?

They aren't lying about it. Palin is lying about it daily.

The money was put into Alaska General Transportation Fund, and in 2006 upon election, Governor Palin determined that the bridge was not a priority to build. In September of 2007, the state funds for the bridge were re-directed away from the project.

She determined it wasn't a priority after Congress had already killed it.

What's the difference between Palin and Muslim fundamentalists?

lipstick

John McCain announced that he was running for president to confront the "transcendent challenge" of the 21st century, "radical Islamic extremism," contrasting it with "stability, tolerance and democracy." But the values of his handpicked running mate, Sarah Palin, more resemble those of Muslim fundamentalists than they do those of the Founding Fathers. On censorship, the teaching of creationism in schools, reproductive rights, attributing government policy to God's will and climate change, Palin agrees with Hamas and Saudi Arabia rather than supporting tolerance and democratic precepts. What is the difference between Palin and a Muslim fundamentalist? Lipstick.

Holy fuck. Can it be November already? Please?

LOL no kidding .. I swear, I don't want any of those 4 in office, I'm sick of hearing about them ... almost as sick as I was hearing about Brett Favre over the summer LOL

we're all losers in this.

either we get someone too liberal to not fuck up the economy further, or we get lucky lady dumbshit when mccain has a massive coronary after trying to lift an arm above his head during an act of passion with a golden retriever.

either way, we're fucked.

She didn't build the bridge but she kept the money (well, not after the hue and cry). Convenient, huh?

Not sure yet. I've heard that it was road money that had been specified for the bridge. Road money belongs to the state to do with as the state see's fit (when the hell did this crap start anyway?).

Can we go back to the Constitution...see Amendments 9 & 10.

of course, no matter what any facts say, she is still superwoman

Since the announcement, you've been on a tear against this woman. Did she steal your cigarettes? Turn you down for a one-nighter? Piss in your cheerios? You've been carrying the banner for the Sorros group for weeks. Why?

and barack will still be referred to as "hussein,"

It is his name. Ever hear about George W Bush? FDR? John F Kennedy? Middle names & initials are common. Why not use his?

I see.

Barry agrees with me:

small_0b94ce.jpg

He hears NOTHING on the fact that both HE and JOEY voted for the bridge.

Just some kind of noise that sounds like crickets.

Nothing about the same bridge that that has been PROVEN as no more than a DISTRACTION from the reality that Barry/bin Biden is circling the drain.

Missing excerpts from the ABC (all barac channel) interview. Expected, not a surprise that they leave out important stuff. What is kida sucky is the questions asked, of both candidates.

Gibson to Obama said:
How does it feel to break a glass ceiling?
How does it feel to “win”?
How does your family feel about your “winning” breaking a glass ceiling?
Who will be your VP?
Should you choose Hillary Clinton as VP?
Will you accept public finance?
What issues is your campaign about?
Will you visit Iraq?
Will you debate McCain at a town hall?
What did you think of your competitor’s [Clinton] speech?

Gibson to Palin said:
Do you have enough qualifications for the job you’re seeking? Specifically have you visited foreign countries and met foreign leaders?
Aren’t you conceited to be seeking this high level job?
Questions about foreign policy
-territorial integrity of Georgia
-allowing Georgia and Ukraine to be members of NATO
-NATO treaty
-Iranian nuclear threat
-what to do if Israel attacks Iran
-Al Qaeda motivations
-the Bush Doctrine
-attacking terrorists harbored by Pakistan
Is America fighting a holy war?
