Just saying hi

It's a very unappreciated little instrument....I guess people give up on it when they blow a bit & don't get the desired effect. It takes perseverence to be able to manipulate it just right.
 
Patience and time is what's needed. Most just go rushing in, blow the pipe as hard as they can & squeeze all the air out of the sack with a murderous grip. You need to wet the pipe slightly first, then wrap your lips around the tip, while softly squeezing the bag from the bottom...

btw, about bagpipes, and I don't mean metaphorically. I like listening to them. Playing them is soemthing I've never tried. I said NOT metaphorically!
