And take Argentine. That is not capitalism. In fact, most of the world is not nearly as capitalistic and right-winged as the United States.
Nothing in Argentine is controlled by the government anymore. Everything but the air that people breathe was sold. That's why the country is in shambles and the government can't do a damn about it. If Argentine is not capitalism, so in your logic France an UK are extremely left socialists and can be considered in fact examples of prosper socialist nations...

A huge part of the world has shit governments that control and control and control. Huge part of Africa consists of dictators. I don't know much about South America unfortunately, so I can't talk on that. Adopt a logical form of limited government as set out by Locke, Hamilton, Jefferson, et al. Then encourage competition, and watch your society flourish in prosperity.
When you open for competition but doesn't have a great economy(most of the world's nations case) your companies get incorporated by foreign countries. That means competition will drop prices of products and services, yes, but they will also explore your natural and working resources for cheap to generate wealth in their original countries. It's a 2 way road. I think we can call it 'predation'.

Question: How many telephone companies are in YOUR country? Is it or was it ever government controlled? Same with television. How many channels do you get that are not of US or other western country origin? Is it government controlled like it used to be in Britain?
There are 5 big telephone companies in Brazil, all of them owned by foreign private corporations. They were government controlled until 4 years ago. Television is private since a long time. there are 4 major networks. Only one has association with a foreign corp. Most of govt owned business had gone to private owners in the last years wich has raised the unemployment rate.

I'm sorry, but I'm a capitalist, and a right winger. I want to work hard to get rich, and the United States and probably Canada will be my countries I will do that in.
Well I hope you do get rich someday. I just hope to live someday in a world where getting rich isn't required to be happy. A world where everyone can work to get their basic needs and not be forced to live accordingly to another's demands be it socialist or capitalist...

I work to be rich, which is not required to be happy, but it is damn nice. If you don't want to be rich why are you complaining about Brazil?

I'm complaining because I can't get any job lately. And I'm thinking also in the homeless and hungry people that live around the big cities...

We have an unemployment rate of 4.7 to 4.9% right now. Hm I love capitalism.

the us might be the most productive by gdp, but when the us government is fixing import taxes that are deemed illegal when other countries use them the purity of the capitalist system is surely undermined.

it is a hyprocracy - the us tells developing countries to adopt free trade and will not deal with them if the apply such duties but does the same itself. the system works great but only when you move the goalposts.

Got a source on comparative tariff numbers or rates? While I agree that tariffs in any form are noxious, I was unable to find any relevant stats as to whether the US is a high or low tariff nation when compared to these undeveloped countries of which you speak (and yes, I did try).
