Monitors...

When I return home from my Afghan adventure, I'll be looking for a new monitor, as my 17" CRT is getting 'long in the tooth'. Still works, but I'm in the mood for an upgrade. Any thoughts on this as a suitable replacement , or are there better for around the same price?

Your best bet is a monitor lizard, the larger the better. They will keep the rodent and roach population down, as well as being a deterrent for Jehovah's Witness, Mormons, Holiness Baptists and etc.

I won't try to deal with tiger since way back, but the specs. look good, if they
don't stick you on shipping.
I've had good luck with hanns-g, but I don't know too much about the contrast ration thing....

I have basically the same monitor in a 22" at home and in a 19" at work and I've been very satisfied with both.

I'm crt atm too, as I sold my 19wide. and haven't replaced it yet.
