Sorry Mare...don't visit this area often...didn't see your question.

Brendon-well, he made it back to Montreal...they medivac'ed him in when his bloodwork came back strong enough. Once in Montreal, they kept him on his meds and Chemo for about 2 weeks. He was then allowed to go home with tri-weekly visits. They figured that he'd be less at risk of infections from other patients taht way.

He developed Testicular cancer since then, and has gone gone from insulin dependancy (because of the huge amounts of sugar in the sucrose-block (used to stop the chemo when the treatment is over for the day). He's off the insulin, and well into the treatment for the original ALL (Acute Lymphoblastic Leuchemia)...they're about 75% into the treatment, and then they look for reoccurances. Once that's done...they have to work on the testicular cancer.

I've seen him since he's been back in Montreal...seems in good spirits, though he's losing weight rapidly, due to the nautia involved with Chemo.

All in all...a fairly good chance (better than it used to be about 10 years ago). He's going to be OK.

Thanks for asking!

DeBish

BTW...please PM me in the future...that way, the thread doesn't sit there waiting and make you more worried than need be.
