One thing. If the insuarance does write it off, do not let them have the carcass. It's still yours. A friend had an older car written off like that. Damage wasn't even all that bad, just the car wasn't worth the repair to the insurance. They scrapped it, and took the carcass.

But I know a body shop who specialises in buying those very same scrap cars and fixing them up for resale anyways. Since the time cost for them is a quarter of what they charge retail, they can fix them up quick and gt them back out (inspected) on the road, and pocket the difference.

Thanks for the info mate. The car is still here and i got a good mate that can work wonders with damaged cars. So hopefully when he sees it he can sort something out. I guess i should of got it all sorted sooner but my depression being as bad as it is i havent bothered :(

that shouldnt be a write-off. i punched the nose in on one of my cars worse than that and it was fixable.

His car is European...The rules for fixing the damage may be different...

The air bags went off. The cost of replacing those is prbably enough for the insurance company to consider the car totaled.

The insurance company can kiss my arse. My mate came round today and said that we can get it back together. Gonna cost a bit but its worth it.
