Anyone here set up your own shoutcast server? Ever had any problems with it?
I've done it several times before, but the last time I tried it I got all kinds of crazy stuff. Winamp kept crashing after about three songs. It'd still play, but would come up with the "encountered error" crap. I disabled all my plugins that were running (shoutcast and logging) and it still crashed. Switched from 2.81 to 2.91 and it still did it. I can't use Winamp 3. All my previous setups involved running the server on my linux box and winamp on my XP box. This time I'm running both the server and winamp on my XP box. I'm going to try moving the server back tonight, but I was just curious if any of you had encountered this before.
