Apparently, it was far too deep for Dubya and Rice even though "any secondary school student could have written" it.

Once again, you try to put all the blame on the current administration. Come on, Squiggy. Next thing you'll say is that this current administration is responsible for your 3.5 inch floppy drive being obsolete...That memo said nothing of any importance. Only thoughts, opinions, rumors, and innuendo. Nothing that was firm enough to put an entire travelling public into a panic...You're blowing smoke on this one... ;)

They didn't give warning because they didn't know how.

The Liberals, ACLU, minority groups, and open border activists had problems with fingerprinting male temporary-visa holders entering this country from terror-sponsoring nations, and detaining asylum-seekers from high risk countries for background checks. These "extreme measures" put upon Muslim men between the ages of 17 and 40 have been called Racial Profiling---and have reaped a politically correct backlash from civil liberties absolutists and ethnic lobbyists. When it comes to protecting our country, what's wrong with Racial Profiling? The Bush-bashers have accused the President's administration for being too "heavy handed" in prosecuting the war on terror, yet in the recent 9-11 Commission hearings Ben-Veniste, Gorelick, Bob Kerry, and other finger-pointing know-it-alls were attacking Bush for not doing enough. That's liberal hypocrisy at its' worst.
