the new aol instant messenger looks really cool

but i'm really hesitant to get it. because the past few versions of aim have had lots of crap and scary questionable things like weatherbug and other things that raise red flags in regard to spyware and safety. i'm still using v5.2.3292, which is apparantly kind of old. i actually have the setup file saved on about 5 different devices/media, so that i can always find something to install it from and avoid having to download a more recent version.
but this new one... it looks neato.
i want to get it, but i want to know if that would be a mistake. if anyone's heard anything bad about it, anything at all, let me know!!
