Yeah, except I'm not gonna join the army.

Altho, if I am in Southern Vermont and there ain't anyone over 21 around, Canada ain't too far.

I lived there too, they don't laugh, it's free beer.
No no.. I mean that if you did as Altron suggests:
Inky, all you really need to do is pull up to a place with a lot of 18-20 year old girls in the Fairlane and say "I can buy beer"
They would laugh at you and tell you that THEY can buy beer to.

Yeah, well, it must suck being over 18 in Canada, nothing to look foreward to, I mean, since you can already do everything and all. :(

Here we've got lots to look foreward after 18. At 19, you can buy tobacco. At 21, you can buy beer. At 25, you can rent a car.

I find out you're buying tabacco, I'll come down there and personally kick your ass for you.

No, I told you, I don't smoke.

I've had the option to long enough, I just don't really want to. Not for any particular reason, it just doesn't appeal to me.

I don't have anything against smoking or the people who smoke, I'm just not one of them.

Not everywhere in Canada has a drinking age of 18...Ontario is 19. I believe all provinces East of Quebec are also 19 (but I may be mistaken).

Here at 16 you can start the process of getting your licence (8-12 months after that you can drive alone depending if you go to driving school or not), 18 you can buy lottery tickets, 19 you can drink legally and go to casinos, 21 you can drink and gamble in the states (we actually look forward to that cause road trips to the states are fun), 25 you can rent a car without paying "underage insurance" and you also get a break on your personal insurance. So there's always lotsa stuff to look forward to...til you're over 25.

I dunno what the legal age to buy cigarettes is...19 I think? I have never bought them and never worked anywhere that sold them so I don't pay too much attention.

Only at otc can a thread degenerate from the planetary system to poinsettas and then to legal age

Our tobacco age was 18 for the longest time, then like a year ago they kicked it up to 19. Every adjacent state is 18, so it seems kinda pointless.

I thought that you could drive a rental at 21, but not actually rent one yourself until 25.
