Alright, you're probably moving to vBulletin because Xibase is on it? Even though I prefer phpBB, using one system is probably better.

Can we at least do something about the colors? Heh... Or at least leave the option to revert to the default color scheme? I much prefer phpBB's default color scheme over what we have right now (no offense to anyone :) ), and there isn't an option right now to pick your own color scheme. But with the conversion to vBulletin, maybe? Thanks fury... :)

Personally, these colors are a real eye sore. No offence to the designer, but to me these colors are really dull. So, when you converting to vBulletin anyway?

I don't think we are going to have the default color scheme in vB, that's not fury's style, he's far more a sophisticated person ;)

But just leave an option to go back to it? That would rock. I don't like Xibase either. The choice between two really unreadable styles prevents me from reading that board (no offense to the designer, but this is a personal preference, the way black is used with red or light blue doesn't appeal to me). OTC is much nicer, but I still prefer vBulletin's default over this green stuff, and phpBB's default over anything else :)

I think they want to use one system for all their forums. Xibase already use vBulletin, so they want to move OTC to that system too.

Oh don't take it personally. People's taste differs... Lots of people like the Mona Lisa, some don't. I'm sure lots of people like Xibase's colors, but some don't. You can't please everyone :)

you have color choices at Xibase. Black is beautiful. For the time being, relax, let's get everything in order & working THEN color can be a consideration. As far as costing money, don't concern yourselves. ;)

Xi rocks! The design is unique and elegant. Regardless of the time fury spent on the layout, the look is very cool. I guess once you go to the light side, you never come back. lol

Probably the biggest reason for a move to vB is the fact that is it much more customizable than phpBB ever will be. I would have used phpBB had it implemented similar features like vB, the ability to revert back to default templates being the single biggest benefit. The ease of making changes to it is also a tremendous plus. Most everything can be taken care of through the CP, whereas phpBB, and many other forums as well, require the editing of several files. To damn time consuming.

Posty is correct vB is so much more customizable. Plus with vB3 right around the corner we wont have to add so many hacks and mods. That is where the main problem lies all the little things that make this board so easy to use is from fury spending many sleepless nights and days rewriting code to make it happen. And the worst part is/was that in order to update to the latest version he had to undo all hacks and mods do the update and then redo the hacks and mods.
It is a costly software but it comes with many more benefits. The new version comming out will not have to be modded but very little, mostly for the look. Almost every mod we use now will be in it.
