What's up with the bold thing?

I've noticed this a while back:

test

Why does this generate code like:

Code:
<span style=&quot;font-weight: bold&quot;>
t
</span>
est

that?

I mean, it's just a waste of bandwidth, it does not have any extra advantages over just using <b>t</b>est, and most important: you can't highlight parts of a word without it looking split up...

So, fix-it-fury, can you fix it? :headbang:

[Edit]

Btw, I think it's more the return between the <span> tags which causes the extra space than the fact that <span> is used...

[/Edit]

fix-it-fury, sounds like a name for a doll :D. We could start a whole collection: 'OTC Plastic Members', collect 'em all! :yell:

(and yes, I chose that name especially for LL to misquote :p)

I agree, the lines were nice, can we still have those, and the bold type?

Please fury? You don't have anything better to do that satisfy our whims, do you? :D

You mean you want the border around the quotes to be solid and then add some extra space between each quote, right?

Or do you mean.... back the way they were... :crying3:

Yeah, that's what I meant :)

Not back to the old style...I like this much better :)

But just a solid thin, perhaps dark grey, line would be more nice than these lines :)

And if the background of the post is grey, then the background of the quote should be white, if the background of the post is white, the quote should be grey. IF that's possible, of course.

I know I'm a bastard, but could you try a little less dark color of grey? :)

PLEASE? :puppyeyes:

I'm really curious how that might look :)
